Eight common faults of cold storage refrigeration units (technical sharing)

Publish Time: 2024-07-24

The cold storage refrigeration unit is mainly composed of four major components: refrigeration compressor, condenser, air cooler, solenoid valve, plus oil separator, liquid storage tank, oil sight glass, diaphragm hand valve return filter and other components. Below, the editor summarizes the eight common faults of refrigeration units to facilitate your better maintenance and maintain the good operation of the refrigeration unit.

1. The exhaust temperature of the refrigeration unit is high, the coolant level of the refrigeration unit is too low, the oil cooler is dirty, the oil filter element is blocked, the temperature control valve is faulty, the oil cut-off solenoid valve is not powered or the coil is damaged, the oil cut-off solenoid valve diaphragm is broken or aged, the fan motor is faulty, the cooling fan is damaged, the exhaust duct is blocked or the exhaust resistance is large, the ambient temperature exceeds the specified range, the temperature sensor is faulty, and the pressure gauge is faulty.

2. The refrigeration unit has low pressure, the actual gas consumption is greater than the output gas volume of the refrigeration unit, the exhaust valve is faulty, the intake valve is faulty, the hydraulic cylinder is faulty, the load solenoid valve is faulty, the minimum pressure valve is stuck, the user pipeline has leakage, the pressure setting is too low, the force sensor is faulty, the pressure gauge is faulty, the pressure switch is faulty, and the pressure sensor or the pressure gauge input hose is leaking.

3. The refrigeration unit has high oil consumption or the compressed air contains a large amount of oil, and the amount of coolant is too much. The correct position should be observed when the refrigeration unit is loaded. At this time, the oil level should not be higher than half, and the return oil pipe is blocked; the installation of the return oil pipe does not meet the requirements, the exhaust pressure of the refrigeration unit is too low when it is running, the oil separation core is broken, the internal partition of the separation cylinder is damaged, the refrigeration unit has oil leakage, and the coolant is deteriorated or overdue.

4. The exhaust pressure of the refrigeration unit is too high, the intake valve is faulty, the hydraulic cylinder is faulty, the load solenoid valve is faulty, the pressure setting is too high, the pressure sensor is faulty, the pressure gauge is faulty, and the pressure switch is faulty.

5. The refrigeration unit cannot start, the fuse is broken, the temperature switch is broken, the wiring is loose, the main motor thermal relay is activated, the fan motor thermal relay is activated, the transformer is broken, there is no power input, the fault has not been eliminated, and the controller is faulty.

6. The fan motor is overloaded, the fan is deformed, the fan motor is faulty, the fan motor thermal relay is faulty, the wiring is loose, the cooler is blocked, and the exhaust resistance is large.

7. The refrigeration unit has a large current or trips when starting, the user's air switch has problems, the input voltage is too low, the hydraulic cylinder is faulty, the intake valve is faulty, the wiring is loose, the host is faulty, the main motor is faulty, and the 1TR time relay is broken.
